Aulton New Energy Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Aulton"), a global pioneer and leader of the battery swapping business. Since 2000, Shanghai Dianba (a wholly owned subsidiary of Aulton New Energy Group) has been exploring battery swapping technology. At present, Aulton is committed to becoming the world's leading smart energy service platform.
In terms of technology advantage, we have over 3,000 global battery swapping patents and patent applications and have obtained the world's first EU's CE certificate for battery swapping system and actively participated in the formation of domestic and international industry standards for battery swapping. At present, Aulton battery swapping station can finish battery swap in just 20 seconds for a few car models in one station, which greatly improves the efficiency of land and electricity utilization and creates a shared, speedy, safe and friendly service experience for users.
In terms of business model, Aulton has formed a closed business including battery swapping technology research and development, commercial operation, battery bank, battery lifecycle management, battery swapping and storage in one station, electricity trading, carbon credit trading, etc.
In terms of cooperation with vehicle OEMs, Aulton has cooperated with more than 16 predominant OEMs such as FAW, Dongfeng, Changan, SAIC, BAIC, GAC, Dongfeng Nissan, and Hozon, developing 30 battery swapping enabled vehicles
In terms of station commercial operation, it has covered 58 cities nationwide, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Haikou, Sanya, Chongqing, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Changchun, Nanjing, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Kunming, Zhangjiakou, Lanzhou, etc., with more than 812 battery swapping stations (including stations under construction), forming a large-scale commercial operation network. Since 2008, Aulton has facilitated Beijing Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, Guangzhou Asian Games, Xiamen BRICS Summit and other large international conferences and events with its product and service.
Since 2021, with an open and diversified business strategy, Aulton has joined hands with hundreds of partners, including energy giants, local urban investment companies, transportation enterprises and auto dealers, to accelerate battery swapping solutions for cabs, online car-hailing and government purpose vehicles in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hefei and Dongguan.
In terms of practice for battery swapping and energy storage two functions in one station, Vehicle 2 Station 2 Grid (V2S2G) is an innovative concept proposed by Aulton. Each Aulton battery swapping station is a capacity variable distributed energy storage station, ideal for energy local consumption. It can further provide full power to support load shifting and load balancing for the power grid, thus help relieve grid pressure and facilitate low-carbon power grid construction.
In terms of carbon neutrality exploration, Aulton is committed to expanding battery swapping service network. In May 2021, Aulton entered into a strategic cooperation with China’s energy giant Sinopec to jointly create a new scenario of diversified comprehensive energy services and help the nation to achieve its "carbon emission peaking and carbon neutrality" strategy. As of November of the same year, BP and Aulton signed a joint venture agreement to create a city-level business practice, two companies actively prepare for domestic expansion and explore possibility of overseas cooperation.
As of August 2023, the cumulative cycle of battery swapping at Aulton exceeds 70.3 million, achieving a carbon reduction of over 800,000 tons.
Aulton aims to build 10,000 battery swapping stations nationwide, serving 10 million new energy vehicles and forming an efficient distributed energy storage network in response to the nation’s commitment to carbon emission peaking and carbon neutrality strategy.
